Amid War In Ukraine, Hasidic Jews Gather 'To Pray And Dance' For New Year's Holiday

The central Ukrainian city of Uman has welcomed around 40,000 Hasidic pilgrims for the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah. The celebrations are taking place despite the ongoing threat of Russian strikes. Pilgrims from Israel and around the world travel to the city to visit the grave of Rabbi Nachman, a key figure for one branch of Orthodox Judaism.
