Samsung announced on March 27 that its Samsung Pay system will stop using Russia's Mir payment cards as of April 3. Last week, Russia's National Card Payment System (NSPK) said Armenian banks will stop servicing Mir payment cards as of March 30. Mir cards have become major payment cards for Russians after Visa and Mastercard suspended their operations in the country following Moscow’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine. Many banks in Central Asia stopped or limited Mir payment cards use earlier.
