Kyrgyz, Kazakh Prime Ministers Discuss Bilateral Ties

BISHKEK -- Visiting Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov discussed bilateral cooperation between Astana and Bishkek with his Kyrgyz counterpart, Jantoro Satybaldiev.

Akhmetov arrived in Bishkek for one-day working visit on November 1. The two prime ministers took part in a working session of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Council.

A broad range of issues, including rail transportation, energy, agriculture, trade, environment, and science, were discussed. Agreements on cooperation between the two countries' governments and finance ministries were signed.
