Gunmen in northwestern Pakistan have killed two people in an attack on a truck delivering supplies to NATO-led troops in Afghanistan.

Local officials say the men were killed when their truck came under fire early on August 25 in the Wazir Dand Jamrud area in the volatile Khyber tribal region.

The attack occurred on the main highway linking the provincial capital of Peshawar to Afghanistan's Torkham border crossing.

Security forces were searching for the unidentified attackers.
