Russian opposition economist Maksim Mironov, a former associate of imprisoned opposition leader Aleksei Navalny, said his family was attacked in Buenos Aires on September 1 when an unidentified man hit his wife, Aleksandra Petrachkova, in the face while she was walking their 10-month-old son and told her to "stay away" from Russia. Mironov says the aim of the attack was to intimidate him and his family. Mironov was the co-author of the economic block of Navalny's program in the 2018 presidential election.
