KANDAHAR, Afghanistan -- A bomb attack has hit a busy livestock market in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar, killing at least four civilians.

Javed Faisal, a spokesman for the Kandahar provincial governor, said explosives hidden in a hand cart went off on August 5 when the market in Kandahar's Takhta Pool area was packed with people.
